Emma's Intro!

Hi all! My name is Emma and I'm a senior History and Russian major from Long Beach, CA. I'm super, super excited to be involved with ACA. For years, I've bemoaned the fact that I'm not "creative" enough to do things like this. However, after taking HIST 301 last fall, I've kind of come to the conclusion that most things are art? That everything I do is somehow creative? Being a human is tough, and framing waking up each day and doing the things I gotta do with care, compassion, and intention has really helped me to get through what feels like a pretty rough moment for our world at large. One of the ways I've been embodying this philosophy recently is through this super, super cool dance-exercise-love-movement class called Dance Church; it has completely revolutionized my relationship to my body, and I would highly suggest ya'll check it out! The photo included in this post is my current phone background; a little bit more summer-y than Williamstown right now, but the flowers were grown by one of my dearest friends. Enjoy!
